Tonight's run was a little better than yesterday's run. I decided to stay away from the hills because of my heart rate issues yesterday. This means I can only run in the back of the "hood."
There aren't a lot of places to run in the back, so I just went down all of the side streets and than repeated it once again. I did a few extra side streets and ended up with a total run of 3.15 miles. Not bad, but my body felt tired today. I had no motivation to run but knew it would be good for both myself and the baby to get some exercise. I should also mention I took a 10 minute break in the middle of the run to visit with my neighbors. I hadn't seen them in forever. They had a baby in March. I didn't get to see the baby, he was inside with Grandma. Maybe next time. This week I've been slacking, and I don't want to make a habit of it.
I say this a lot, but my body is definitely changing. I've been cramping a lot lately. It's mild cramping, I think my uterus is growing. At least that's what the books say, cramping = large uterus. I definitely feel larger these last few days. I guess we'll see on Sunday when I take another progress photo.
Maybe I should take measurements too, but I just feel fat now, and realistically I'm too lazy to take the time to measure my growing girth.
Maybe I shouldn't have had a date milkshake for dinner, since I'm feeling fat and all. Not the most nutritious, although it is fruit and dairy, something the baby needs. The ice cream I used for the milk shake is low sugar, so that basically means it's healthy.
I kind of feel like hard boiled eggs though. I've been craving them all week. I made them one evening, but then left them out overnight, and wasn't going to risk eating them the next day. Maybe I'll make some now. That'll almost make for a healthy meal, although if I told someone I had a date milkshake and hard boiled eggs for dinner they would definitely know I was pregnant. Good thing it isn't a secret anymore.
