Facebook Official

Monday evening I decided to make the pregnancy "facebook official." E-mails had been sent out to all remaining friends and family that didn't previously know and although I was waiting until my actual birthday on Tuesday to make the post I decided Monday evening would be close enough.

I posted "Tricia Crosby Murphy Loves birthdays and loves that Sean gave me my birthday gift early this year. He's making me a mom come October. Less than 25 weeks to go. I can't believe how fast the time is going already."

Tuesday morning I woke up, it was my 29th birthday and what better way to start my day, pregnant or not, but with chocolate cupcakes in bed. That's right. I have the best husband ever. He gets up and leaves before I'm even out of bed, but kisses me goodbye when he leaves. Yesterday when he came up to kiss me he had three mini chocolate cupcakes and a glass of milk. It made me smile and it was a great way to start the morning.

Than I checked facebook and couldn't believe all of the response I had from my post the night before. The posts continued throughout the day, and I probably had over one hundred by the time I went to bed. It was amazing to see how excited everyone is for Sean and I. We definitely have a great support group of friends and family.

After work it was fun to come home and open presents. I definitely got some great gifts. Since it's a pregnancy blog I'll mention the pregnancy related gifts. I got maternity clothes and maternity gift cards, pregnancy magazine, chocolate (pregnant woman love chocolate), a prenatal yoga and pilates video and....

A stuffed uterus!

My sister made me my very own stuffed uterus. I know, I know. Everyone is jealous. There is a story however behind this unique gift. We found a similiar item on Etsy and couldn't believe someone actual sold these. So instead of having to save up $65 to buy the one on Etsy, Amie made one for me as a gift. She's the best isn't she.

I tried on my new maternity clothes and let me just tell you...maternity clothes rock. I'm not sure why I've never tried them out before. Pants with elastic waists are sooo comfortable. It's going to be hard to go back to "normal" clothes after this pregnancy is over.

The rest of my birthday was great. We went out to dinner with friends and I had some delicious Italian food and chocolate cake for dessert. What a great day food wise. Nothing like chocolate cupcakes for breakfast, ice cream after lunch (I forgot to mention Free MaggioMoo's ice cream for my birthday), Italian food for dinner and chocolate cake for dessert. I think this baby had a good day!
