Workout recap for week 18

I'm a bit behind, but this is my workout recap for Week 18 of pregnancy.

Tuesday

Swim: 1 x 1000
Time: Slow

Swimming still feels really good, especially once I get past the first 100-200 meters. I get in a zone and I feel like I can just swim forever, or until I get bored, which is usually at about 1,000 meters.

Wednesday
Run: 4 miles
Time: 41:53
Pace: 10:28/minute
Avg HR: 143
Max HR: 161

I've been continuing going to intervals with the Colonial Road Runners each Wednesday. I don't really do intervals because let's face it, I'm getting slower, not faster. I do however enjoy the company and catching up with my running buddies. Because of work I don't get there until it's half over, but I can still jog around and than they do a long cool down where I always enjoy catching up with my buddy Jami. I'm definitely slowing down, but I'm still running so I'm happy.

Thursday
Swim: 1 x 1000
Time: ~ 23 minutes (I forgot to write it down, but remembered to look at the clock)

No change in the swim, just starting to feel like I need a new suit since I seem to be filling it out and don't want to give the teenage lifeguards a free show.

Bike: 5.04 miles
Time: 25:42
Speed: 11.8 mph

I haven't been on my bike in forever so I thought maybe I better go for a short 5 mile bike ride just to make sure I'm "ready" for the triathlon. It felt good, but I didn't want to go on the main road so I just road around the back of my neighborhood. This makes it hard to get any speed since I'm constantly turning corners.

Run: 1.05
Time: 11:14
Speed: 10:41/minute

After biking I figured, hey I might as well do a short little run and finish the night out with a mini triathlon. The run felt good, but slow. It made me excited for my triathlon!

The triathlon was on Sunday. I didn't get any other workouts in after my Thursday mini-tri. I'll write a separate post focussing right on Sunday's race.
