Accepting the weight gain

I'm assuming that you are considered officially accepting the weight gain when you no longer feel huge.

These last few days I've looked at myself in the mirror, naked as can be, and I feel like I've lost weight and that my boobs are smaller. It's definitlely a mirage because I can hop right on that scale and see that I am still 12-14 lbs heavier than I was 19 weeks ago, and my boobs are basically bursting at the seams on my bras. I NEED to go bra shopping, for fear of nipple slips. Luckily, my shirt would cover any nipple spillage, but still, it's not attractive at the very least.

I don't know if this acceptance is better or worse. For now it doesn't matter and maybe it's better considering I'm just going to get bigger and I might as well get used to it.

I think this is how people gain weight and keep getting bigger without doing anything about it. They accept the weight gain and since they no longer feel obese, they just keep getting bigger and fatter. This s scary!

Luckily I'm an athlete and know I will want to continue racing and training as much as I can through this pregnancy and get back to truly racing once our baby is here. I'm hoping I'll be able to get back in shape fairly quickly, a girl can dream, right? But I hope my friends will say something if I get too lazy, or if I accept being huge, because THAT IS NOT OK.

Happy Friday everyone!

  2. Awe your so cute Tricia, Weight gain is only the beginning. Look forward to nipple leakage and finding no panties in your drawer that come low enough for that big ole belly...lol. Accepting these changes is the best thing you can do, I mean you are actually carrying another human bean inside your body!
