Anatomy Ultrasound

I meant to blog about our ultrasound last week, but I've just been too busy. I was extra excited to go in for the ultrasound since it had been postponed the week before. This ultrasound was the anatomy ultrasound which is where they measure everything and make sure that he/she is growing at the appropriate rate.

I loved seeing our baby again, and everything checked out great except our baby was "hiding" in my right hip so they couldn't get all the measurements they needed. The face was also mostly hidden so we couldn't get a cool 3D face shot.

Luckily for us this means we get another ultrasound in a month, at our next check up. We were told to remind them that we didn't get any "fun" photos so they can take extra photos.

The baby is significantly bigger than our first ultrasound. The baby weighed about 13 oz, so we almost have a pounder! The heart rate was a solid 147 and I asked the length but they said it's hard to tell because the baby is all curled up.

This was my favorite shot, because it reminds me of a photo I would take. With all of my pick-up photos I'm bound to have one strong baby!

Head shot, with right back and right arm

Face shot with hand on chin

Baby with mouth open, this was cool because we actually saw the mouth open and close a few times.

Another face shot with a hand to the left

This shot is pretty cool but the baby is turned the wrong way so it shows the back of his/her head, the back, and left arm.

I can't wait, only 3 weeks until we get to see our baby again!

While at the doctor's I asked about my frequent urination. Nothing they can do about it. They test for a urinary tract infection each time, which can sometimes cause frequent urination, but it came back negative so my pee is healthy, which means the baby and I are healthy.

I'm still occasionally getting the round ligament pain, but it only lasts a few minutes and than goes away.

Everything is still moving along really quickly and I'm still enjoying this pregnancy.
