Kieran's Baptism Weekend

This past weekend our family took a trip to Garden City, NY for Kieran's Baptism. We decided to have the baptism in NY because we wanted Sean's Uncle to perform the ceremony (he was also one of the priests that married us). It was also closer for my family to drive to NY instead of fly to Virginia.

We flew up Thursday night so we would have a few days to visit with family.

Kieran and Daddy hang out while waiting for our delayed flight

When we got to the airport for our 4:30 pm flight we were told it wouldn't leave for another 4 hours due to a backup at the Laguardia airport. Our plane was in Newport News, but NY wasn't ready for us.

Keeping this guy entertained and happy isn't too bad. He's such a good boy!

Luckily for all of us our flight was able to take off around 6:30, so although we got in late it wasn't as late as they had originally told us.

Kieran's cousins were more than disappointed that they weren't able to play with their cousin that night, but they got to play with him first thing Friday morning.

Kieran loves his cousins!

Even Jack wanted to play

He's getting really good about sitting up by himself

While we were in town I had to go get measured for a bridesmaid dress for Sean's sister Alana. She is getting married in October! Amy, Anna and I went to the bridal store while everyone else went to the park to play.

Anna got to play dress up, this made her very happy!

After going to the bridal shop we met everyone at the park and than headed home.

Nothing cuter than a baby in sun glasses

We got back to Sean's parent's house and I was anxious to see my sisters who I hadn't seen since November. Kieran and I played outside while we waited.

Anna joined us and read a story to Kieran.

and than Amie FINALLY arrived and I got to meet Edward. Ok I didn't really get to meet Edward but I got to meet the belly.

I absolutely love seeing my sister pregnant, she was and is definitely glowing!

Amie got to see Kieran, double his weight from the last time she saw him.

She even got to feed him some bananas.

Than Stacers arrived! Yay!!! Stacy just had her gall bladder removed so she was on doctor's orders not to lift anything more than 10 pounds. She was however able to hold Kieran on the couch.

Stacy rode up with Dad and Patti. It was nice seeing them again. We were lucky enough to had seen them the week before on their drive back to Vermont from North Carolina.

Sister shot!

Amie and I decided to take a little walk to get out of the house and chat. She also wanted to try out the Ergo.

I think Kieran likes it, such a happy boy!

Chunky boy!

That night I unfortunately told the kids they could help with bath time. Let's just say it was more than I could handle. All three kids were doing their best to help. Lucy wanted to pour the soap in (we didn't bring his soap and were opting to skip soap), Jack wanted to jump in and take a bath with Kieran, and Anna just wanted to help with anything. I love these kids but bath time was a little crazier than usual and to top it off exhausted Kieran, who usually loves bath time was crying and fussing. I grabbed Kieran out of the tub and ran downstairs with him.

Saturday was Baptism day!

Sean's parents were more than hospitable and even made room for my sisters to sleep.

Amie & Stacy take a morning nap before the Baptism

Kieran is dressed and ready to go, just playing with some toys before it's time to leave.

Got to love the sunglasses!

Someone is ready for his Baptism.

At the church and ready.

Time to get dressed! I was really excited that Kieran was able to wear the same Baptismal gown that my sisters and I wore when we were Baptized. My Mimere made it and my Mom kept it all these years. Not only was it in perfect condition but it fit Kieran perfectly.

Time to get Baptized!

Such a good boy.

Lots of buttons to button up.

Kieran was extra smiley!

Love this shot of the Baptismal fountain. This Baptismal cup has all the Murphy grandchildren's names on it.

I love my family!

Kieran is set to go party!

After the ceremony we headed to Bob's restaurant where Sean's parents hosted a beautiful luncheon to continue the celebration.

I love this kid.

Celeste hangs out with the girls

AJ plays with Kieran for a bit

I love my sisters!

I was glad Maria came out for the Baptism

Grammy has the secret touch for a certain tired little boy

Sunday morning Stacy gets a few more hours of snuggle time.

Grammy plays with the big boy!

Kieran loves his cousin Ella

The oldest and youngest cousin play together. I can't believe what a beautiful young lady Ella has become. She was probably Kieran's age when I met her.

Three generations of Murphy boys, Kieran looks a little spent, must have been a busy weekend.

We decided to take Kieran on a little walk to the golf course Sean used to Caddy at and where Larry still plays. The Golf Pro even let us take out a couple of golf carts and give Kieran a tour of the golf course.

Such a fun yet tiring weekend!
