Lamaze/Childbirth Class

Sean and I had our first Lamaze/Childbirth class on Sunday. I can't believe we're close enough to be taking classes now! Each class is 2 hrs and there are a total of 6 classes.

The first class went really well. We're covering a wide range of topics and although the first class was kind of an overview, not too much new info for me, it was great for Sean. The teacher teaches mostly to the husbands with the mindset that they probably aren't reading books, and when it comes down to the day of, us woman may need our husbands to remember everything for us.

The class is at the hospital and is taught by a local Doula. She has a good sense of humor and it seems like the class is going to be a lot of fun. We are one of nine couples. She encourages us to ask questions throughout, so it's really helpful since I seem to always forget my questions when I go to the doctor's office. Plus having other couples in the class they sometimes have questions I hadn't thought of and that I'm interested in the answers.

Sean had a lot of fun and was an active participant showing off the weighted pregnancy suit.
