Another breastfeeding dream...

Last night's dream was definitely out there and hopefully the strangest dream I will encounter during this pregnancy. But who knows, I'm sure they will get stranger.

I started dreaming after the "baby" was born although it wasn't really a baby well it was a baby, but just not a baby human. I had a baby hamster. Sean and I took turns holding the hamster and I realized we didn't have a name, nor could we determine the gender of our baby hamster. I tried to breastfeed the hamster and the hamster didn't seem too interested.

We weren't at our house and we had to sneak around with the hamster because we weren't supposed to have animals with us, even if it WAS our BABY. We were in this hotel room and the hamster got loose, we had to chase it around to get him/her back.

I tried to feed again, and then I realized that I had delivered the hamster at this hotel I was at and hadn't actually gone to the hospital so when they eventually weighed my hamster they wouldn't have an original weight to compare it with to see if it was gaining weight.

My dream than took a turn and my baby was a dog, I think a lab. Again I was trying to breastfeed this animal. The dog was just as difficult as the hamster, especially since it was a full size lab. I had to lay on the floor with the dog since it was too big to lay on my lap. I couldn't get the dog to latch on, the dog was more interested in licking my nipples, that didn't work. Eventually the dog latched on and I was worried my nipples were going to be bitten off because of the teeth, but I came through unharmed.

I'm just ready to have this baby, and I'm ready to have a HUMAN baby. I don't care if it's a boy or a girl just as long as it's not a hamster, a dog or any other animal. Maybe if I actually could sleep through the night instead of getting up every hour to pee I'd have solid sleep and wouldn't be in constant REM sleep.
