So excited!

This is a private blog that I've set up for those of you who I wish to share my little secret with.

It isn't a secret to our family and friends that we are anxious to start a family. So you can only imagine our excitement when we got our first positive pregnancy test on the evening of February 12, 2010.

Of course Sean didn't believe the test, so I went out and got a digital test to try and convince him. I was on the phone with Kerry while buying the test, but of course I told her I was going to the store to buy frozen buffalo chicken pizza.

Sean and I were and still are cautiously excited. We didn't want to share with anyone until we met with a doctor to confirm.

We went in for our first appointment on February 25th and the pregnancy was confirmed, and was told I was probably 6w5d along. Of course Sean doesn't believe that you start counting on last period and thinks we need to start counting on conception. I like that I can say I'm already 7 weeks along. It sounds much better than 5 weeks. We were given an approximate due date of October 17th, which ironically is 1 week before our friend's wedding. Hopefully we go late so we can still attend the wedding.

After the appointment I called my sister Amie and told her I decided on a birthday gift for her, her birthday is October 25th. I was going to make her an Aunt!!! She's the only one we've told so far and the only one currently able to read this blog.

I go back to the doctor's office on the 11th for a physical and than on the 8th of April for the first ultrasound. After we go in for the ultrasound we'll start to share with our immediate families and close friends.

  2. I'm glad we are able to share this with you. It's great to have someone to talk to besides Sean because, you know it's very difficult for me to keep a secret.

    Love you!
