38 Weeks

38 weeks (and 1 day), 13 days until my due date.  I am almost at single digits.  This is crazy! Within two weeks I should have a new baby in my arms, that is of course unless I go late but we aren't going to talk about that.

Every week seems to be blending together.  I am feeling really good these days and although I'm peeing a ton still I'm able to fall asleep fairly quickly and my body feels good.  At my doctor appointment this week I had them check my cervix again and I was the same as the last two appointments.  1 cm, and my cervix still seemed pretty far back so I guess it hasn't thinned a ton.  The heart rate sounded good but she didn't tell me what it was and they didn't check my fundal measurement.  My weight has also stayed the same the last three appointments.  I've been right around 170, I think I was 170.5 this past week, so this is about a 30 pound weight gain, I'm happy with this considering the recommended weight gain is 25-35 pounds during a pregnancy.

I still have the good ole' pelvic pain that has been around for the past 10 weeks or so.  Today I had some shooting pain in my vag that I'm assuming is this "Lightning Crotch" I've heard mentioned on the internet.  So much "fun!"  Luckily it didn't last very long.

According to my baby pool that I started a month or so ago today was the day I chose and was supposed to have the baby.  I figured last night was a full moon and it is Memorial Day weekend, but considering it's 10:00 pm I'm assuming I won't be having the baby in the next two hours.

I guess there is always tomorrow.

I am getting really excited and everything seems to be coming together.  We installed the car seat this weekend and Kieran seems very excited to have a buddy in the back seat with him.  The bassinet, swing, bouncy seat and activity mat are all also washed and ready to use.  We just need a baby!

The movement is getting less, but I guess that's normal, poor baby is running out of space.  I think we also have a boy and a girl name decided on.  Well the girl name we've had for awhile, but I'm pretty sure we're set on a boy name now too.  We still have our name books from the library that we've been flipping through but we still like the combo we have decided on best of any other combination.

I can't tell if I look the same or bigger, but I definitely have a big belly!!
