36 Weeks!

This week I received my last progesterone shot, how have I made it this far?  I have also hit 170 pounds, yikes how has that happened?  This baby just keeps on growing!!

My doctor appointment went well, my fundal measurement was right on target at 36 cm, the baby's heart rate was 145 and I am starting to dilate.  I was 1 cm.  Of course this could mean nothing, and I could be 1 cm for a month, but it's exciting to know that the end is close and I'm officially out of the "scary zone."

I thought I had dropped this week because the pain in my groin has been so much worse.  My doctor said the head hadn't dropped into the pelvis yet and the pain I have been feeling is most likely just all of the extra weight I've been carrying.  I've never been this pregnant before.  I'm definitely not having a 4 pound baby this time around.  So I guess the pain and discomfort is just going to get worse.  Great!  Luckily the baby is still head down.

Movement is no longer just on my right side.  The baby has taken over my entire abdomen and I feel the kicks and rolls everywhere!

The worse pregnancy symptom is still the constant need to pee, and when I get up to pee I literally find myself crouching down and waddling to the bathroom.  I'm sure I'm quite the sight.  I have been getting really annoyed lately and I find I have zero patience.

We still don't have a boys name yet, we have a couple of new names that we like but nothing we are definite on.  Our girls name we have had for awhile and still love it.

We had maternity photos taken yesterday.  I'm really excited to see how they turned out.  Of course Kieran was less then cooperative, but I'm hopeful that at least one with him came out.  Fingers crossed.

I should have taken my weekly photos yesterday when I actually looked presentable.  Being that today is Mother's Day I stayed in my jammies all day and although I took a shower I didn't dry my hair or put on makeup.   I did manage to put my weekly outfit on long enough to snap a few pictures.

  1. The end is coming quickly. I hope the next few weeks you can rest up a bit. Remember to smile when you can. Patience and stress are tough, but put a smile on your face and it does help a bit. Love you Tricia!
