It's crazy to think that I am almost to the point in my pregnancy that I was when I had Kieran. In fact tomorrow is the equivalent day to the date he was born. This post is a little late since my doctor appointment from Friday was rescheduled for today.
This week has been the week of braxton hicks, constant peeing or feeling of having to pee and the start of cramps. The cramps started on Wednesday night and they feel like menstral cramps. I was nervous with the start of the cramping since I know this could be a sign of pre-term labor, but according to my doctor at my appointment this morning, my cervix is still closed, so looks like I won't be having the baby before tomorrow. Therefore this baby should have a better chance of being full-term or closer to full-term and hopefully avoid any NICU time.
My appointment in general was uneventful. I had the 30 second doctor, which means including a cervical check he is in and out of the room in about 30 seconds. He took my fundal measurement and listened to the baby's heart beat as well. Of course I have to be quick enough to ask what both were and I never am quick enough.
I have my next appointment this Friday and only 2 weeks left of my progesterone shot, only 2.5 weeks left until 37 weeks which is my goal. I'm pretty uncomfortable so I don't really care about getting to 40 weeks, I think 37-38 weeks would be perfect. Of course this means I'll probably be 2 weeks late and have to be induced, let's just hope it doesn't come to that.
I have finally decided to put together a baby guessing pool. I didn't want to jinx myself and post too early.
Here's the link if you want to guess the gender, birthdate, weight and length of Baby Murphy #2.
