23 Weeks

This week the baby has really started to move around a ton.  You can't really feel it from the outside yet, but I can feel him/her so much on the inside.  It's such a cool feeling when the baby moves around, at least at this stage.

A not so cool thing about this week is my awful back pain.  The pain comes mid afternoon and lasts throughout the evening.  It's just in one spot so I'm wondering if the baby is pressing on a certain area or if it's just the anatomy of my body along with my poor posture making it worse.

It's amazing to me how different I feel from my last pregnancy.  I had no aches and pains until 28 weeks and even then I was still running until 31 weeks.  I can barely make it up the stairs without getting my heart rate up and I'm huffing and puffing along the way.  I've been reading back my old entries from my pregnancy with Kieran and am amazed at all I was doing.  I didn't think I was badass but now I do.  Heck I did a triathlon at 24 weeks, which would be this upcoming weekend.  So crazy for me to think about right now.  I'm thinking though that the exercise helped my body feel better and kept my muscles and joints loose and stretched properly.  I also am at a heavier weight then I've ever been.  I've officially passed the weight I was when I had Kieran.  I guess that's what happens when I start at a heavier weight.  I've still gained less weight overall if I compare the two pregnancies but I'm pretty close and I didn't gain any weight the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy with Kieran so I have a feeling the number on the scale is just going to keep going up, which it should but I just hope it doesn't make my back hurt even worse.

Anyways, enough complaining, here are this week's photos:
